CALL FOR PAPERS

Since 2015, TESAM has been organizing the TESAM International Congress on Social Sciences, and we are pleased to announce that the ninth edition will be held in cooperation with Marmara University and the Afro-Eurasian Research Institute. It is our great pleasure to invite distinguished scholars and researchers to our international congress on “The Beginning of the Age of Crises: Economic, Political, and Strategic Dimensions”, which will take place on 15–17 October 2025. The congress will be conducted in a hybrid format, featuring both in-person and online sessions.

The congress aims to provide a platform that brings together distinguished scholars, researchers, and policymakers to present comprehensive analyses of the challenges and opportunities facing today’s world and to develop new perspectives on the future of the international system. In this context, participants will address a wide range of topics, from international relations to the global economy, from security strategies to environmental policies.

The congress meets the requirements for academic incentives. In addition, with the participation of invited speakers from various countries, diverse publication opportunities will be offered to participants. The Book of Abstracts will be published online with an ISBN by TESAM Publications, while the Book of Proceedings will be printed and published by TESAM Publications. Furthermore, participants will have the opportunity to submit their papers for publication in the peer-reviewed TESAM Academy Journal or the peer-reviewed ILSAM Academy Journal. The publication process in these journals will be conducted independently by the respective editorial boards.

CONFERENCE VENUE

The face-to-face sessions of the conference will be held at at the Marmara University Faculty of Political Sciences of the Recep Tayyip Erdogan Complex.

The online sessions of the conference will take place via the internet. Online presentations will be recorded and broadcast live on YouTube.

CONFERENCE LANGUAGES

The official languages of the conference are Turkish and English. Papers may be presented in either of these two languages.

RIGHT TO PRESENT A PAPER

The papers submitted to the conference must be original studies that have not been presented or published elsewhere.
Each participant may apply with only one (1) paper.
Paper proposals will be evaluated by the Organizing and Scientific Committees according to their relevance to the conference themes, scientific merit, and originality. The evaluation will result in either acceptance or rejection.

PARTICIPATION CONDITIONS AND FEE

The conference meets the criteria for associate professorship and academic promotion set by the Interuniversity Board (ÜAK).
Participants may present more than one paper; however, each paper will be evaluated separately.

Participation fees:

On-site participation: 1200 TL
Online participation: 900 TL

* The conference fulfills the requirements of the “other” category (3 points) under the “conference evaluation” section of the criteria for associate professorship, published by ÜAK on August 9, 2023. In addition, participants who wish to receive points in the CPCI category (5 points) must prepare their full texts as articles, undergo peer review, and publish them either in journals included among the publication opportunities of the conference or in other journals, or as book chapters.
Since participants whose full texts are published as articles or book chapters cannot apply to CPCI (Conference Proceedings Citation Index) individually due to ÜAK regulations, the conference committee will submit the CPCI application for the relevant articles/book chapters and follow up the process.

Proceedıngs Book

ü The Proceedings Book will be published either online or in print.

ü Publication date: 30 March 2026.

ü A paper can appear in only one publication at a time.

International Edited Book with Chapter Contributions

ü Participants may optionally request to publish their papers in an International Edited Book.

ü Papers will be published after passing the editorial and peer-review process and meeting the publisher’s financial and other requirements.

ü A publication fee will be required from participants requesting publication in the International Edited Book.
